It is a prominent mountain and seen from anywhere near thane area. There are two hills, one is Mama Hill and therefore the other is Bhanja Hill. Mama Hill is at the highest whereas Bhanja Hill is small less than Mama Hill.

Mama Hill is filled with hard rocks

At the top, there's a shed of Mama Dargah.

It will take an hour of a climb for a fit average man. Pretty wide steps are made all the thanks to the highest through the forest. During rains, there are many small streams across the steps.

After climbing and reaching the highest you'll encounter a junction from where if you switch left you'll reach Bhanja Hill

and turning right will take you to Mama Hill.

This is Mama Hill as you'll see in photo. there's a shed at the highest . that's the purpose which we see from the town anywhere. Whole Thane city and Mumbai are often seen in clear weather as shown above.
